Deterministic: the believe that an action will lead to exactly one result. One cause - one effect.
Determinism is the philosophical proposition that every event, including human cognition and behavior, decision and action, is causally determined by an unbroken chain of prior occurrences.

One simplified example: if you put a ball on a table it will either stay put, roll but stay on the table, roll and fall off the table.
In a deterministic reality, if you know all facts and boundary conditions, you will be able to exactly predict, what the ball will do (100% probability). Prerequisite for this naturally is omniscence: knowing everything about this ball, table, air, gravity, ... system, including it's future. Determinism is a very religious concept, widely disregarded in scientific and technical circles due to the fact, that we humans never know absolutely everything about anything.
